Dovetail Student Loom: Durable and Easy to Assemble

Dovetail Student LoomWeaving in Beauty is proud to carry Dovetail Woodworks looms.  The Dovetail Student loom is well-built and durable.  The loom ships ready to assemble and takes less than 30 minutes to put together with a basic screw driver.  Since even our CEO Mary Walker can put this thing together, with an audience, and no expletives, we can say that this loom is easy to deal with, folks.

About the Dovetail Student Loom

The guiding force behind the loom is the late Belle Rosing, a respected Navajo weaver and teacher.  The loom is constructed with four stout bars and is supported with fold out easel legs.  The features include a built-in warping board in the back and easy warping and tensioning.  The loom measures 26″x 31″, giving you about 22″x 24″ of weaving space.  The easel leg configuration provides a comfortable weaving angle.

Although we don’t ever want to put our looms away, the loom folds for storage.  U-bolts fitted into a line of precision drilled holes securely hold the dowels in place for both warping and weaving.   Finally, Velcro straps provide easy and dependable warp tension.  The loom ships unfinished and you can apply your own finish or use it just as it is.  The maker suggests a clear Danish oil finish.  The Dovetail Student Loom sells for $150 plus shipping and handling.
