Weaving Forks

Starting in 2012, we are trying to keep all of the weaving forks that are in our inventory listed here. Forks are a very personal item and most weavers have two or three that they use depending on what they are working on. Remember that even in the same style, there can be a big difference in the weight of the fork depending on the wood that's used to make it. That's why we weigh every fork and list the weight for you. The fork in the picture is the one you'll actually receive if you buy it. It takes more time to list the forks this way, but it's as close as we can get to handing it to you to try out.

    I am interested in purchasing one of your traditional forks (2″ width)but as a beginner I’m warping at 1/4″ spacing. Are your tines per inch compatible with 1/4″ warp spacing? Thanks. Bill

    Yes Bill, the 2″ Traditional fork is ideal for warps with four turns per inch (or eight ends per inch).

    Raymon: I have a blanket simialr to the pink blanket. My dad's family had sheep. Every year they would gather the wool and take it to Utah Woolen mills and make beautiful wool blankets. Similar to Pendleton blankets, in many different colors. Love the turquoise jewlrey. My mom has a big beaded bag of it that I hope I get a few peices of (she's half Native American) She finds it kind of amusing that Native American prints etc. are "in" right now.

    Remigio: Way to go, Navajo Nation! Either cease-and-desist, or collect roiaetyls for the use of your name (only on quality products of which you approve, of course). Same with sports teams that use Native names as mascots. Until recently, the University of North Dakota was paying the Standing Rock Sioux annual roiaetyls to use the name Fighting Sioux , which was a win-win and a source of pride for both parties. Unfortunately for both the Tribe and the university, political correctness put an end to that.
