If you are interested in any of the more advanced tracks, but worried that you don’t have a firm enough command of the prerequisites, please contact me and we’ll figure out the best fit for you. More good news, we’re pretty flexible if you want to jump between tracks. We are inviting Navajo weavers who are in the Phoenix area to drop by the class and hang out, especially in the evening. Our boot camp format means that we’ll be starting at 8 AM and will be in class until 9 PM. This concentrated program allows students to really accomplish a lot during our time together. In addition to working our little fingers to the bone, we’ll be visiting the Heard Museum Indian Market and Old Town Scottsdale. Tuition for the class is $425 regardless of the track you choose and includes the use of tools and a free download of either our current book or the more advanced volume that we are currently working on. If you would like to use a loom, let us know and we will be glad to arrange that for you, free of charge. If you are bringing your own loom, that’s fine too. Please let us know if your loom is more than 36″ wide. All tracks will be warping on the first day of class or you may pre-warp your loom if you are in the intermediate or advanced group. A deposit of $200 is required to hold your seat in class and you’ll receive an invoice that will allow you to pay the remainder online or by check at any time prior to January 8, 2018.
We will be staying and weaving at the Days Hotel in Mesa, Arizona. We have negotiated what we think is a great rate of $85 per night, which is low for this time of year. The hotel is Tripadvisor rated #4 in Mesa. This rate is for a room with two queen beds, so room sharing makes the rate even more attractive. There is a daily hot breakfast buffet. It is your responsibility to call the hotel at 480-844-8900 to make your reservation. The hotel is on Country Club Rd. near U.S. 60 and there is a Starbuck’s, Schlotzsky’s, Culver’s and Waffle House within walking distance. Of course, if you live in the area, you are welcome to attend as a day student.
Registration, cancellation and refund policies: A deposit is required to hold a seat in any class. Tuition must be paid in full 15 days before your class begins. If you find that you cannot attend the session that you have registered for, you may move to another session at no additional cost by paying any difference in tuition if there is space available. If you need to cancel within three months of your class date, your tuition will be refunded less $75 if we are able to fill your seat. If we cancel a class due to low enrollment, you’ll receive a full refund of all the fees you’ve paid or you can transfer to another session that has space. We will make this determination by January 1, 2018 and we will inform you immediately should we need to do it. Since your ability to attend any class session may be affected by conditions like weather, employment and medical emergencies that cannot be anticipated, we highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance to cover the portions of your trip that may not be refundable.
