Lucinda Baloo to Teach Weaving Seminar in Concho, Arizona

Tempe, AZ Lucinda Baloo, a rug weaver from Chambers, Arizona, will be teaching a two-day weaving seminar at Red Horse Ranch in Concho, Arizona on September 5th and 6th.  Lucinda is originally from Mariano Lake, New Mexico.  Lucinda wove her first rug at the age of 25, learning the art from her mother-in-law.  She has taught weaving at the community college near her home and weaves in Chinle, Wide Ruins, Ganado Red, Klagetoh and Chief Blanket styles.

Cost for the seminar is $125 with limited lodging available at the ranch.    The class fee includes the use of a loom and limited amounts of yarn.  Students should bring their own weaving fork and batten plus extra yarns that they would like to use.  Contact class coordinator Kathleen Mendes by email or by phone at 928-337-3694 for more information.
